Lisa understands the link between health, mindset, and success. As a breast cancer survivor, she had to overcome illness and completely alter her habits and mindset to become healthy. While doing so she realized that she could never return to her previous lifestyle. That stressful, unhealthy lifestyle contributed to her illness.

Lisa found a way to enrich her soul, not just her pocketbook.
Even though Lisa had surpassed every career goal that she had set, she realized the only purpose of her career was to make money. She needed to get out of the rat race and away from the stress if she wanted to live a healthy lifestyle. She needed to find a way to enrich her soul, not just her pocketbook.
Lisa wanted to help people avoid the type of illness she had just been through. If she could help them prevent a serious illness by focusing on their health she knew she could change lives.
She already had a master’s degree in counseling, so she didn’t need any more advanced degrees. Exploring options led her to discover a health coaching program from Duke University. This was not some 30-day online certificate program. The Duke program took 2 years to complete and culminated in a board exam. This certification gives her a level of expertise not experienced by most other health coaches.

Lisa’s health coaching program helps others believe in themselves so that they can change their behaviors. Most people don’t start a journey to health because they don’t think they can do it, but Lisa helps her clients change their mindset and succeed.
Getting healthy isn’t about going on a diet; it’s about making small, lasting tweaks in your everyday life. The journey to health is not a destination, it is the journey itself. A healthy lifestyle shouldn’t entail eating food you don’t like and doing exercises that you hate. Rather, it should involve eating delicious, nourishing foods and experiencing a life filled with healthy activities that you enjoy doing. Getting healthy isn’t difficult if you know what to do.
How mindset leads to success
Most health and wellness programs assume that you are ready to take action, but this is usually untrue. If you are not emotionally ready to take action then you are guaranteed to fail. This is why it is important to step back and take baby steps toward success. By building up momentum, you can gain the confidence you need to move forward. It is important to experience what small successes feel like so that you can build on your small victories and shift your mindset to gear up for the win. Mindset is what is needed for ultimate success.
