Paige has been in marketing for more than 20 years
Paige always knew she would go into business. Even as a child, her entire family was filled with business professionals. After graduating college she headed straight for the Fortune 500. After realizing that finance wasn’t where her heart was, Paige found that marketing struck a balance between the left and right sides of her brain.
While she enjoyed her time with the big companies, she got bitten by the .com bug in the 90s and had some success with her first three startups. When people came looking for her to do their marketing, she came up with the idea to create Mavens and Moguls. Now, Paige helps business owners build their brands and improve their marketing.
Have you ever Googled yourself? Do it! It might seem a bit vain, but you must understand what pops up when someone Googles your name. Whatever pops up is your brand whether you like it or not. If you don’t like it–you need to change it.
If you can’t be found online, you simply don’t exist, and since clients don’t want to work with people who don’t exist, being invisible is not a marketing strategy.
Build an authentic online presence
Since you don’t need to be on every platform all the time, pick one or two high-impact social platforms that resonate with your ideal audience. Next, define who you are and what you stand for. This will help you build your brand. Your authenticity and credibility will build as you interact online and build your presence. Once you have a few things you want you and your company to stand for, ensure they are reinforced throughout your messaging.
